    Poured Concrete Paths

A poured concrete path connects street to door in one clean gesture. The surface is continuous — no joints between individual units, no shifting over time — and it takes the same finish as your driveway or patio if you want a consistent material language across the property.

For front paths and entry walkways, a broom finish in light grey is the safe, practical choice. Near-black or charcoal with a low polish reads more considered — especially against dark fibre cement, board-formed concrete, or Corten steel facades.

Side-yard paths and covered entry porches follow the same logic. Under cover, a polished finish holds up well without weathering unevenly. Exposed paths benefit from a broom or raw trowel finish for grip in wet conditions.

Narrow paths (900mm–1.2m) typically cost $5–10/sq ft poured. A wider front entry or covered porch pours at the same rate but often requires additional forming work, adding $2–4/sq ft.
